Middletown Man Charged With Robbing Gas Station At Gunpoint

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – A Middletown was charged with robbing a local gas station clerk at gunpoint on Saturday, according to New York State Police.

Scott Antione Webb, 29, reportedly entered the the Mobil On The Run convenience store on Dolsen Avenue, showed a gun to the clerk and robbed him of personal possessions. He then fled in a 2012 Mercedes Benz, Troopers said. 

Authorities were able to track down Webb and pulled him over on Bigert Drive in New Hampton. He was found with the gas station clerks belongings, a .38 caliber handgun, 5 ounces or marijuana and prescription painkillers, officials said. 

Webb was charged with robbery, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and several misdemeanor drug charges. He is being held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $150,000 bond.

State Police were assisted by the City of Middletown Police Dept and the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
